I am Alejandro Ucan-Puc, a full-time professor at Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (Campus Monterrey), Office A7-222.
I teach courses in topological data science, mathematics, and modeling.
I completed my Ph.D. at the Instituto de Matemáticas, UNAM, where I worked with Dr. José Seade. I also held a postdoctoral fellowship at Institut de Mathématiques de Jussieu Paris Rive Gauche with Dr. Elisha Falbel.
My research interests include:
- dynamics of discrete groups
- geometric structures and topology
- topological data analysis and artificial intelligence
I have papers related to limit sets of projective discrete groups, uniformization of orbifolds, representation varieties, geometric structures, and computational algorithms for Hausdorff dimensions.
My recent work includes detection of LLM-generated text using topological features and algorithmic approaches related to Reidemeister moves with AI.
